K2 has never been climbed by an Irishman. Terrence ‘Banjo’ Bannon has put together a team whom he hopes will help him to do just that, and be the first Irishman to stand on the summit of the second highest mountain in the world.

Banjo faces one of the biggest challenges of his life this June. K2 in Pakistan is renowned by mountaineers as one of the most difficult mountains in the world to climb, although it falls just short of Mount Everest in height, it is seen as far more technically challenging to climb. The weather conditions on this peak are also infamous for being extreme and horrific.
