Get into the Festive Spirit with The Quays
The Quays Shopping Centre is planning a spectacular Christmas this year with great shopping and lots of fun for all the family. The festive season kicks off this year on Saturday 14th November with Santa’s arrival. Santa will be coming up the Lough on his very own Christmas Boat and will meet and greet shoppers and children when he comes ashore.
Shoppers can expect lots of excitement with music, treats and story telling by Fr. Christmas before he takes up residence in his magical ice palace until Christmas Eve.
Cathal Austin, Centre Manager at The Quays said, “Christmas at The Quays is always geared towards family fun and entertainment while you are shopping. This year we have more events than ever planned with music, dance and local talent on display almost every day between Santa’s arrival and Christmas Eve. We will also have extended opening hours from the end of November right through until Christmas Eve.
“Santa’s arrival will be a great event. He will be coming up the Lough on a special boat and will be met by a Brass Band. Young shoppers will have a chance to meet Santa and get candy canes and chocolate treats. We will also have non- alcoholic hot punch and snacks for adults. Santa will be telling stories on the mall and there will be music throughout the day. We hope that children of all ages will join us on the day to start another great festive season at The Quays.”
Santa will arrive at the waterside of the centre at 12noon on Saturday 14th November. A visit to Santa at The Quays will cost £4.75 for a present and a photo. There will be extended opening hours during November and December as below:
