There were lots of activities planned at The Quays for shoppers of all ages on St. Patrick’s Day.  Centre mall boasted music, singing, dancing face painting and The Quays very own leprechaun giving out chocolate treats. St. Patrick’s Day was packed full of entertainment.  Local traditional musicians Parcel of Rogues entertained the crowds from 12-4pm with a range of Irish songs and Irish dancers from the Rooney O'Malley school of dance rook to the floor to ensure that all of our customer at The Quays had a fun filled St Patricks Day. Centre Manager Cathal Austin said:  " This year we pulled out all the stops for St Patricks Day offering non stop entertainment on the mall and chocolate treats for all of our customers.  We also had face painters on the mall to ensure that all of our young shoppers impressed in the Newry St Patricks Day parade which departed from the Quays at 12 noon. A brilliant day was had by all!"

The Quays are also the proud platinum sponsor of this year’s GAA Congress 2010 which was hosted by County Down this year. As part of this we had a competition to win 5 pairs of tickets to see Down v Armagh in Newry in the National League.
