Easter @ The Quays

The Quays Shopping Centre had a weekend of family fun activity this Easter.

Along with great shopping customers were greeted with the latest chart hits from DJ Paul McKenna on Easter Saturday 3^rd April. Paul gave away hundreds of Easter Eggs throughout the day to shoppers and took requests. Shoppers were in for a fantastic treat on Easter Monday as esteemed traditional live band Goitse played in the centre for the first time.

Five piece band Goitse are all students of Traditional Music and Dance at University Limerick and have recently launched their first album.

Cathal Austin, Centre Manager at The Quays said, “This Easter we focussed on providing great music for our customers as well as fantastic shopping. Well known DJ Paul McKenna got everyone in the mood for the Easter break. He came up with lots of novel ways of giving away Easter eggs to lucky shoppers. Easter Monday was also another great event. With many people off work we went for a festival atmosphere and welcomed Goitse to the centre for the first time. Hailing from all over Ireland including local girl Aine McGeeney from Dundalk, this highly acclaimed group added real atmosphere to the Bank Holiday at The Quays.”

The Quays also had the pleasure of having the Easter Bunny visit the Centre on Easter Monday and Tuesday to give out Easter Bunny chocolate lollies to all the boys and girls.
