The Quays is the place to be for the Maritime Festival 2010

It’s ‘all aboard’ at The Quays Shopping Centre for the Maritime Festival 2010 where there will be a host of exciting sea faring activities for all the family. On Saturday 29 May there will be music and entertainment from DJ Paul McKenna while Captain Quays will be on hand to give out chocolate treasure. Young shoppers will have the chance to get a pirate makeover on Saturday while there will be craft making on Sunday 30 May with an opportunity to make pirate hats before taking to the high seas.

Cathal Austin, Centre Manager at The Quays said, “We are delighted to be supporting the inaugural Maritime Festival in Newry. Not only will we have a fantastic display of Tall Ships and a carnival atmosphere outside the centre but we have lots of entertainment, activities, restaurants, coffee shops and great shopping in the centre for visitors to the festival.

“The May Bank Holiday weekend is a great time for visitors and local people to see all that Newry and Mourne has to offer.”
