The world famous Latvian folk band I??i will participate at this year’s Fiddler’s Green International Festival in Rostrevor, Co. Down.
 
I??i, was established 29 years ago as an ensemble of authentic Latvian folk music. During this time, I??i has researched folk music and using elements of Latvia’s cultural heritage, they have experimented with new means of expression in music, bringing the ensemble beyond the boundaries of traditional music. http://www.ilgi.lv/
The band have received rave reviews from worldwide press and have previously taken part in music festivals in neighbouring Estonia and Lithuania as well as in Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Great Britain, Switzerland, Australia, USA, France, and China.
 
For the first time on Irish soil, I??i will perform in Rostrevor, Co. Down on Tuesday 20th July at 9.00pm. The concert will take place on the open-air stage in the Village Square in Rostrevor on the night.
 
The Fiddler’s Green Festival, taking place between 18th and 25th July is a lively music festival held every summer in Northern Ireland. Now in its 25th year, this event has grown from a one-day event to a weeklong festival. This festival attracts renowned folk, blues, country and classical musicians from every corner of the globe.
